RINTOUL colonies front garden

The client lives in the upper floor of the colonies. She has a lovely garden space but one which required some modernisation to bring it back to life. The layout was to be reinvigorated, introducing curves. Patricia was particularly keen on geometric shapes. The design was built around a circular seating area positioned in the sunniest corner, benefiting from the enclosure of the house walls. Lush planting beds filled with grasses and herbaceous perennials formed an outer perimeter around the circular patio. Trellis panels planting with scented climbers provided additional height and enclosure. A large stone water feature was positioned amongst the planting. This is the garden in its first year.
