Project 6: Longniddry Garden

The client had recently moved and wanted help to bring shape and structure to their new garden.

They enjoyed gardens but not gardening! So a main criteria of the brief was to create a low maintenance garden which could be enjoyed with seating and places to entertain.

The design proposed a paved area, connecting the entrance and exit of the garden spanning the south facing wall.

Three seating spaces are created here. The planting border was redrawn, broadening and curving it around the garden.

A mixture of varying sized shrubs and trees fill the borders to provide lots of interest whilst remaining low maintenance.
